I use tightVNC, and I haven't noticed any resolution problems. In fact, my server has to desktops with different resolutions, and it handles that quite well, too
My GBPVR runs as 720x576 because I cannot get my nVidia 6150 card to scale down higher resolutions on component output. If any has this working, I really would like to know the configuration/driver versions/etc.
Anyway, the 720x576 is perfectly ok for watching recordings on the TV, but not much use for anything else (which is what 'other work' is in my case
