What is really strange about the PVR150 IR blaster problem in the latest version is that when I added another PVR150 to my system tonight the problem went away. I have not tested the second card yet however since I need to move some cables.

The problem I have now is that Live TV quality is bad (fuzzy) until I go into timeshift mode and then it is nice a clear.

Hi all, I just updated to 0.90 and I am having a problem with both live tv and recording. When I go to live tv, the first channel to be displayed has video but no audio. if I go 1 channel up (or down) the next channel has audio and video no problem. if I come back to the first channel it has audio and video no problem either. It seems the audio is dead from the time the software starts capturing the audio video stream until the channel is changed.

This is very fine to watch live tv, I just have to flip one channel up and back down one immediately after since the channel changes are now super fast. But for recordings ..... they are completely mute since during a programmed recording the channel is never changed .... [Image: sad.gif]

Anyone's seen the same issue?

Apart from that great great release. Thumbs up.

ps: oh by the way this is when I use VRM9 or VRM7. When I try using the overlay mode, I got the same audio problem but on top of that I have no video at all : if I select live tv, nothing happens until I press channel up or down on the remote, then the audio starts playing but the creen stays frozen to whatever was displayed before. I can then flip trhough the channels and hear the audio but still no image. Nothing is crashed however, I can navigate my way back to the main menu pressing the menu button and continue using the program normally, only it will never display any video.

Yes, this was a known issue with the Overlay in this release. A patch was posted earlier in the thread.

Sorry, I dont know what your audio problem is.

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] (spyder40 @ Feb. 03 2005,16:00)]I unistalled 2313, deleted the directory, then installed 0908 and am coming up with a debug error.  Clicking on details shows the following:
...
************** Exception Text **************
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
  at ac.ap(Object A_0, EventArgs A_1)
...
When I click continue the config opens but there is nothing in the drop down for skins as well as most of the other drop downs.  Skins directory exists and does have files in it.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling/config 2313 successfully and upgrading to 0908 but the results are the same.  I haven't searched the registry yet to see if something is hanging around that shouldn't be.  Any ideas?
Exactly the same thing happens to me.
Tried installing 0.90 with and without removing 0.23 first.

Version 0.23 works ok.

Hi sub,

I tried playing around with the recordings to solve my audio problem but still no luck every single program I record is silent ... [Image: sad.gif]

You mention is the release note that the volume and channel settings are stored for the next time you watch or record tv. Could this cause my problem if the settings are lost?

Also I installed version 0.90 7 and then updated to .90 8. Now in the the first tab of the config window the version number is shown as 0.90 7c. Did I do something wrong or is there discrepency between the real version number and the label shown in the config utility ?

Regards,

Pierre

I wouldnt think so, but can reset it by deleting the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Devnz\LastVolume key/value from the registry. It'll be recreated.

Unfortunately I forgot to update the version number from v0.90.7c to v0.90.8. These are the same version.

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]As stated from an earlier thread:
"When I channel surf through the program, the background recording stumbles.  When the channel is changed it creates a new file for the new channel with the new channel name but at about 20,000K it stops.  It then creates a new file with the old channel name and stops every 20,000K (it continues to do this over and over until you exit Live TV mode and start over.  When you open these new files with the old channel name they are split recordings of the new channel but just with the wrong name."
I am seeing this also.
The special buttons on the new 45 button remote are working great with GBPVR on the computer, but I am unable to get them to work through the MVP?
Sub,

You may have already fixed this problem, I'm not sure. I just wanted to let you know that my MVP's are doing the same thing. I have tried it with LiveTV Preview on and off, but still have the problem.

Thanks,

Bryan

Yes, I've seen it reported and I've got some logs at home ready to look at. I've only had about a single hour of development time in the last week, so I havnt had time to look at the problem yet, but its at the top of the priority list.

I know it's not high on the priority list but I just wanted to add the conflict bug hasn't been fixed and I still can't page up/down on very many menu screens (very annoying!Wink.

I'm in the same boat as others, forced upgrade due to the TV guide suddenly breaking itself...so sorry if I'm b-tching.

Edit: Just wanted to add I have a 350 card and so far no *other* major problems with this release yet, knock on wood.

See http://gbpvr.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?a...2723;st=10

Because I didnt get any feedback from anyone, I assumed the problem was due to the EPG not auto updating in the last release. Does you EPG now seem to be auto updating correctly?

I dont really remember this coming up in the past. I'm sure it was mentioned, but hasnt been something often requested (so low on the priority list).
