i'll take a look at it....oh, i see, what you mean, the buttons at the bottom of the map-screen...

along with the xrecord-changes i will implement those buttons, extra for your wife ;-)

edit: my post was too late, i refer to the former posts...thank you for the screenshot!

cameluk,
I have had the opposite problem. My icons have always been spaced apart so far that the bottom icons are more than 1/2 way off the bottom of the screen.
Just for reference for others in case they need to change it because of their specific setup. In the GBPVR/skins/bluemce2/xrecord change the skin.xml. I have to typically change the rowgap value from 250 to 125 or so.

Dottore - I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong but none of your fixes seem to be working for me. I deleted the old MCE2 folder and pasted the new version from post #127 and still have the same problems I posted a few pages back (va panel not working, overlapping overlay.) Am I missing something?

Reefboy, Thanks for that, I used to have the same fault, downloaded the lastest version and found the rowgap was set to 30, reset it to 125 and that seems to work for me

GBPVRkid Wrote:Hi,

The VA panel display on the home menu displays the text in a wierd font...cannot hardly read it...It appears that the outlines of the letters are black and inside is transparent..

Also, when I updated the latest xrecord, the icons for the movies and shows are strange...the first row of icons are ok...but the next row is at the bottom of the panel...too far apart...it was working fine before the update..I remember this happening once before..did search..could not find fix..if anyone can direct me..much appreciated

Thanx for the fixes everyone...VA panel is working nicely..However when it was displaying the black letters, it was alternating with Next Recording..what looked cool(don't know if it was intentional)it would display the next schedule times with the appropriate video icon where the weather icon would normally be shown. Then it would alternate nicely with the weather display. With the fixed VA panel it only displays the weather (nicely done I must say)

If you look in this thread (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ge=3&pp=10) you will see a picture of the video archive panel config screen. There are three settings that effect how upcoming recordings are displayed. The "display pending recordings status" checkbox determines if they are displayed at all. By default they are, and yours is probably set to this since it was displaying them in the past. The next item is the "hours of leadtime" setting, which determines how far into the future the panel looks for things. By default it is set to 8 hours. So if you have nothing pending in the next 8 hours nothing will show up in the panel. You might want to increase this to 24 or 48 hours. The last parameter is "number to show", which by default is 1. This determines how many upcoming recordings to post. So, for example, if the time window is set to 24 hours and the number to post is set to 5, even if you have 10 recordings coming up in the next 24 hours only the 5 nearest will be posted to the panel. If you want to be safe and show them all, set the number of post to something big, like 20.

My guess is that if you adjust these parameters (or wait until things are being recorded within the next 8 hours) you will see upcoming recordings posted.

I thought mine wasn't working. The lead time was likely the issue. I can't believe I didn't put 2 and 2 together...

On a somewhat related note though, the weather wasn't showing up in the VAPanel either... Not that I care, as I can just look out the window or flip to the weather plugin.

You can look in the VAPanel.log file in the jeff subdirectory to see what messages the panel is being sent.

new version: http://www.sitecomposer.de/BlueMCE2.zip

i have fixed the xrecord-problems and the annoying overlay in season-record-recording from the tv-guide (thats for you, daphatty ;-) hope, your wife enjoys Big Grin)

just try it out and give feedback, then i can put it on the wiki again.
