Still the same error, not sure how you first installed but something like got screwed up with permissions, perhaps you did something when you were working with scripts.
What do you see with ls -lt /var/opt/nextpvr Martin

Yes you did something it is owned by you and not writable by nextpvr, maybe you copied a manual install?
sudo chown nextpvr /var/opt/nextpvr/npvr.db3 should get that fixed. Martin

Could you make sure that you changed opendct.sh to use the original ffmpeg line with the -v panic parameter. Also maybe check permissions on
ls -lt /var/opt/nextpvr/scripts Martin

Permissions on the scripts directory was good. But crap! I didn't change the ffmpeg line. I changed it now but still no joy.

Breaking new! I restarted nextpvr and it is displaying video now!
Not out of the woods yet though. Worked once but went to other channel and error and no video again

Maybe remove -v panic from the parameters so we can see some info.

Removed -v panic.
When I try ch 132, it records for like 15 seconds then stops

Same now if I try ch 190, where I got video before. NextCom app shows 15 seconds of recording then it stops
