Quote:"Technovera is about to roll-out a data services pilot with Tribune Media. We've started with MythTV compatibility, but we plan on introducing plugins for other media software. It's called LxMSuite.com, and right off the bat, we've integrated Local Movie Show-times (some with Fandango Links included). The cool thing about this: You can opt-in, or opt-out... and if you sign-up, you get value-adding enhancements month-by-month,.. not some "log-ware" that tracks your habits and reports it back to George Orwell. We will be including many things that you just can't get through the "survey-based" Zap2it site. Most importantly, all the net proceeds go right back to sponsoring OSS. So obviously it's not about profit, it's about giving voice to a growing community of people who choose "choice"... "Your Media... Your Way...".

it will cost $5/month..

Those are both old stories (2005) about a project that went tits-up.

Did anyone else notice that the articles from pBS's post date to 2005?

Here's the posting at MythTv concerning the demise of Technovera:

The pilot lasted 8 months (May 05 - Dec 05) and did not go any further
- "From the very beginning, LxMSuite enrollment was far too low to
generate sufficient revenue for sponsoring development as intended".
Pilot subcriptions were $5/month.

Neither LxMsuite nor Technovera have any web presence any more
(LxMsuite's themes are available at http://jmeyer.us/download.php).
Does Technovera even exist now or was it consigned to the great
startup in the sky?

Does Sage or Beyond TV charge a subscription fee? If not, is the EPG written out as a file that could be massaged to be used with a different PVR?

It looks good, but I think it will go away pretty fast unless we find out how to get a legal UUID.

Yeah...unless sub got a legal ID for the TitanTV xml download, I would suspect that whatever ID we find, will eventually be disabled. Don't know how much it would cost for the legal id, but I believe it is per product not per user from the research I've done. Titan's web scheduling is built into several products which is what the SOAP services are ment.

I suspect we'll have something before September, until then, I'm not going to worry about it too much.

Memory? what do you think providers are filling up those 500 channels they advertise with. I flipped by it last night. Smile

Tried it, got a UUID but when I tried to use it, I got an invalid UUID message.
Did you guys have better luck?
