Don't use the Partial String search in XRecord. You should be able to just enter a shows title and have it record just that specific show. There are a couple of ways you can do this.

1. Set up the show manually with the Schedule function in XRecord.

2. Use XRecords search feature, find the show you want to record, and then use the Advanced option in it to setup the recording.

3. Edit the PriorityRecordings file directly to have it only look for the show. You can do a search in the forums to find out which elements need to be setup or modified to accomplish this. An example is:

Code:
<Recording priority="3">
    <Channel>4</Channel>
    <ProgramName>Las Vegas</ProgramName>
    <Quality>Custom2</Quality>
    <CaptureSource>1</CaptureSource>
    <Duplicates>
    <Recorded>No</Recorded>
    <Scheduled>No</Scheduled>
    </Duplicates>
    <Padding>
    <PrePadding>0</PrePadding>
    <PostPadding>2</PostPadding>
    </Padding>
</Recording>

That will only schedule the program Las Vegas and won't do any key word searches.

Mostly I don't. It's just really nova that's a pain. They change there show names. i.e.

Nova,
Nova Science Now,
Nova Space Explorations,
Nova Screws Up GBPVR Names, etc...
etc...

Ok maybe I maid up that last one.

Yup, That's how I normally do it.

Setting them up manually based on channel/Time is a pain. It's always moving around in my area.

Still I would like to record *Nova* and not "ReNOVAte my wardrobe" but I'm not sure this is passable based on my new under standing of how it works.

Maybe there is a way of "LOCKING" shows so they don't record/play. I could see this being inportant to some homes with kids where they don't want them to watch certain shows. Is there such a thing? Or another way I can not record "ReNOVAte my wardrobe" and still record all the "Nova" shows that move around the EGP?
