Lets review shall we:

Why do you delete the image? Other plugins look for an image with the same name. Maybe you should store an artwork timestamp in your database and not delete the image.

How about you add and option then, defaulted to 'leave files on the hard disk', and then everyone would be happy? That way, if the user isnt using other video plugins, and doesnt want extra files in their directories, then they can enable this feature.

Its not really fair that your plugin breaks other plugins by doing this.

I've implemented lots of things for you that I didnt want to, so how about you change this for me?

Dont take this the wrong way. I just think deleting the file is not very friendly to other plugins, so I would prefer you left the file in place. I can understand you may want remove extra files from your directories to keep them clean, but how about you at least make it optional in the way I described?

i was kidding

ill add an option (not sure if by default yet...) that it wont add the image to the db just read it and display it, that way it doesnt have to constantly check to see if its the same image as the one in the db.

ive had no complaints about this (other than jeff, which i doubt he uses my vids anyway), and still theres doesnt seem to be any point to use 2 video plugins, so theres no issue.

Actually its not a problem for me or the video archive plug-in since I check the my videos database if I can't find an image. I added this feature becuase I did receive email requests form users that use both plug-ins and I did used to have both installed on my machne for testing purposes.
