Many thanks - this is an excellent plugin! We are in danger of the Wife Acceptance Factor going through the roof and not being able to get near to the TV until they have gone to bed!
Hope custody of the GBPVR server does not appear in too many divorce cases Smile
I second the suggestion for adding pencil marks - necessary for the harder puzzles.

This is an excellent plugin - thanks very much

Just one suggestion, I can't find the error in the attached picky. Is there a "help" feature that can spot rows, columns, boxes that are in error. Press a button on the remote and they are highlighted in some way.

Also, can you spot my wifes error in the picky, it's a WAF thing.

Interesting idea - I'll think about adding that.

WRT to the grid you've shown - it's correct as per the rules. The problem is my grid checking (I told you all this was Beta - right? Smile ).

I start by generating the grid then hide various numbers - my CheckWin() method simply compares the player's grid with the original. It is possible to get to the end where you might have, for example, 4 squares and 2 numbers that can fit either way round - if you don't match the original grid it won't give the 'grid complete' - if you swap them around it will.

I'll change the checking to just look for a valid result rather than compare to the original grid.

Coming soon (already working in my version)...

Timer and ability to 'pencil in' up to to three numbers per square.

Cheers,
Brian

I did, it's an 8KB file (9,018 bytes), it still says corrupt. Thanks...

Could someone kindly post this zip file elsewhere, or perhaps email to luisa2000 at gmail?

Many thanks.

If you are downloading from this thread, you need to use another browser besides Internet Explorer to download the ZIP. The forum software and IE aren't playing well together. The ZIP file is fine, it's an IE issue.

Indeed, thanks. Can't believe I installed Firefox to get this!

Anyway, it worked well. Funny the mentions of wife factor in the previous posts, it may increase the acceptance of my home built PVR hobby now. Thanks!

My only suggestion other than the ones already mentioned: I see a white background which hurts the eyes on my TV. I'll try to find it in the xml file to see if it can be changed.

Good stuff!

For problems with any ZIP downloads with IE on this forum see my post about HTTP 1.1 here...
