Sounds like the a problem with default directshow .mp3 decoder on your machine. I wouldnt expect new versions of GB-PVR to fix this sort of problem.

Installed the entire XP codec pack, STILL NOT WORKING!!

Again, Winamp by itself works fine, and can even play the mp3 being generated by GB-PVR. Windows Media Player works fine also.

have you checked the "lastgraph.grf" file in the GBPVR installation directory after trying to play a net radio station? it should show the decoder, etc involved in playing the mp3 file and you can also play it in graphedit to see if it works there.

also, any issue with the internal GBPVR volume control being turned down to zero?!? if your videos are fine then i doubt there is a different volume control for netradio but you never know...

Sorry, I don't see any such file either during or after playing a net radio station.

There's no separate net radio volume control that *I* know of, and again, once upon a time, net radio USED to work! I have no idea what could have changed on the system for it to stop working, I haven't added any new programs other than the usual windows and program updates.

Try setting <UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio>false</UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio> in config.xml, then try listening to a station, then post your logs and I'll see if I can see anything obvious.

Ok, cleared my logs before I did this. Edited config.xml, tried to play a net radio station, stopped it, stopped the recording service and tray, zipped the logs, here they are.

Ah, you using the PVR350 tv out. I dont know if works with that or not. I wouldnt have tested this in about a year.

If you disable the PVR350 decoder (ie, set the Hardware Decoder to 'None - use software decoding) does it help?

Ok, tried that. I got my music library to play, but still silence from net radio. If it matters here's the 2 relevant lines from my config.xml, when I tried it:

<UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio>true</UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio>
<UseWindowsMediaPlayerForNetRadio>false</UseWindowsMediaPlayerForNetRadio>
