That's quite an old driver; almost certainly the cause of your problem.

I'd suggest downloading a new driver from the Technisat website (I see that version 4.4.0 of the software is now available), rather than uninstalling your other applications. Unfortunately, I don't have time to try the new driver myself tonight....

Tim, I can confirm that my SkyStar 2 with the latest driver is working as well.

I have played with VideoText but that seems not to work and what about the native EPG signal which comes with the digital streem ... should that work? I only managed to get my installation working with XMLTV.

Tim you did a great job and BTW any plans to enhance the driver?

Well, I'm glad it's all working now for both of you and seems to be useful.

At the moment, the plugin is using the audio and video data only, so isn't able to provide either text or any EPG data (most satellite channels in Europe seem to provide only "now and next" programme info, so downloading XMLTV data seems to be a better option anyway).

As regards future plans, yes there will be enhancements (as you've found out, it's rather basic at the moment). First priority is to remove the rather cumbersome way of providing the tuning info, hopefully with automatic transponder scanning. The right way forward seems to be to make the recorder code a proper .NET implementation (rather than the current Win32 dll), which will hopefully iron out a few of the other problems. It might take a few months for me to do this, particularly as I seem to have an ever-increasing list of jobs around the house to do :o

Tim, thanks a lot for the update. Actually I don't mind the manual setup of the channels at all. Since there are that many "free to air" channels in Europe, I prefere to setup the list myself with the few channels I regularly watch. Please make sure that the manual option will still be there once you have the automatic channel scan implemented.

I haven't the card yet, but I plan to buy it (for some reasons).
So this seems to be a dream come true.

I wonder how/if this compares or mixes with progdvb plugins (which after all are the reason this card is so popular).

Sorry- there's no support for MD compatible plugins. It's a possibility for a future release.

The problem seems to be with connecting the MPEG2 Demultiplexer to the Cyberlink Mux.

You could try a different version of the the Cyberlink Mux. I use version 5.0.1307, which I found using the instructions in this post.
