sub - sorry to have missed these later posts. I didn't get an email notifying new posts for some reason.

Just to confirm my understanding of the problem: I have an album open in music library and a track is highlighted. I press play and it plays fine. I press pause and it pauses OK. Then if I press pause again (to restart) nothing happens. If I press play - as others have said - it restarts the track from the beginning?

I think in Musiclibrary2, I have to push enter to resume. Took me some time to find outSmile

Hi arjay - yep, in the music library, "pause" only pauses the music, it does not restart it. To restart music after pressing pause, you have to press "play". The problem is that if a music library song is currently selected, the default play action (start playing the selected track) takes priority over the restart action. So if you are in a screen where there is no default play action (eg by returning to the the main menu screen once the track is playing) then the pause/play combo will work correctly.

Alternatively you could use MusicLibrary2 apparently, thanks to HTV's "enter" restart suggestion.

cheers,

The Pause function on the MVP - pauses the song, when start is pressed the song continues from where it was paused. Works everytime.

Pausing under the main GBPVR screen - pauses the song, when start is pressed the song starts over.

ok, crazy idea - what will happen if we set both pause and play to the same key? which will take precedence? (dont feel like trying it now, lazy me...).

EDIT: Not so lazy, tried it. Seems to work!!! I'm not sure, as at one test it became strange (just gave me a strange sound, like play+pause again). But since then, I checked few times, and got the so-wanted TOGGLE feature (which is the normal feature in many players, e.g. MPlayerC - also using "Space" by default, which is so nicer on keyboard for pause-toggle).

Actually - I have given up on gbpvr for the moment and moved to mediaportal. There were just too many problems with gbpvr (this one with the lack of a proper pause and play was just one of them). MP is not as comprehensive or as flexible, but is much more polished I'm afraid. It just looks so much better and I found setup and tvguide etc to be a shade easier too.

I am monitoring gbpvr however and may try it again in a few months.
