it is supported in baseskin. one bluemce2-version must be enough ;-) and it is not widescreen....

a downscale from 1360x768 to 1280x720 shouldn't be a problem....but 1360x768 doesn't seem to be a common resolution. what about 1440x900 as seen on a few notebooks?

edit:Fatman_do was faster ;-) i think 1920x1080 is too much. gbpvr will surely slowdown. i think i will go 1280x720.

1440 x 900 is a bad Solution, because it's 16:10 Widescreen Format.

Like me, you're living in germany: Which medium, without these Notebooks, has this Ratio and resolution? Nothing. Even a few Onboard GPUs would have problems with a resolution like this :-D

Or are you using GB-PVR on your WXGA Laptop? *g*

i am using gbpvr on my 1680x1050 notebook ;-) but you're right, it should be a tv-resolution. ok, i will use 1280x720 then.

thanks!

1366 x 768 is the native resolution for 50" plasma televisions. I would strongly suggest that you make your skin that resolution!

You might even consider 1920 x 1080 as that is the "future proof" FULL HD specification (many LCD TV's larger than 32" support that resolution already).

Good luck on your work. It looks very nice!

It is better to downscale than upscale. When a theme is downscaled the font "sharpness" is good. but when upscale the font gets blurry.
The current skin resolution 720x480 is not good at all.....everything gets blurry in higher resolutions.
A tip. I will have 2 text defenition in the BaseSkin to have compatibility with plugins.. by using a HD defenitions

eg.

ButtonText
ButtonTextSelected
ButtonTextHD

But Plasma isn't a good deal and has a bad picture, short lifespan and high power consumption.

Skin looks good

my own pennys worth is 1366 x 768 which my LCD supports

Is this why there are no widescreen skins out there cos we can't agree on a
size Big Grin

is it 1366x768 or 1360x768? downscaling from 1920 is a bad idea. such a resolution will slow down gbpvr, i'm sure.

it looks like we will have 136x on 768 though.... is it worth to make a poll?

Not enough skinners on GBPVR I guess.
I just have a 4:3 monitor where I can run 800x600 resolution.....otherwise I would have made a HD skin.
I will not buy a Plasme or LCD TV either.....the picture quality is not that good in my eyes.
Reven had made a HD skin of Mayhem3....that you can download from his site if you register.
Dottores new skin is a nice initiative.

It's 1366 x 768, but this isn't a really 1:1 format. Format should be 16:9, so if you divide 768 with 9 and multiplicate it with 16 you'll get 1365,33333.

If you're taking 1280 x 720, than it is much more easier and cleaner: 768 divide 9, multiplicate with 16 and you get clean 1280.
