Old Dog Wrote:The News plug-in and the Theater Listings plug-in have been modified for Plain Jane to support the ForgroundTransparency setting in their skin.xml files.

This means no semi-transparent popups.

Are you saying a skin.xml fix or the plugins themselves are fixed?

Post some of you're results for the Theater Listing, if you say you're fixed it. I know there is a code that you can fix it. I don't run theater part like before. I find I never used it as much. I think Weather, Recordings, Video Library2 get the most pounding...

Out you 3 have you have you ever used Windows XP MCE 2005 and Linksys MCE Expander. The reason I've asked this that that device has dropped by $100 bucks, if you can find them around.

In the Theater\skin.xml file, just move the <ButtonLocationElement> tag from the <Navigation> section into the <SpecialElements> section. Now you can use the tag's parameters to adjust the placement and spacing of the buttons.

Be advised; Brian_w maintains the Theater Listings plug-in. When he posts an official update, you may have to restore the tag to it's original location.

This is the best info I can give you right now because I'm not at home.

Old Dog

With respect to Foreground Transparency...

I have modified the plug-ins for Plain Jane. As you know, Brian_w maintains the Theater Listing plug-in and he will provide an official update.

I'm not sure who maintains the RSS Reader (News) plug-in.

Just an update so everyone is on the same page, I have yet to be able to set aside some time to work on this like I had planned. Between work, a new wife, and family medical issues, I barely have enough time to have a beer to relax Sad So I apologize if anyone has been anxiously awaiting a new version of the Theater plugin. I do have some new features planned for it though:

- Increase flexibility with skinning
- Integrate downloading of trailers (optional through config item)
- Integrate downloading of movies that are "Coming Soon" (optional)
- Add support for movie listings outside of the US (if anyone has some websites for movie listings outisde of the US, let me know)

Also, does anyone know of a plugin that has the source available that as skinners you find very flexible with regards to what you want to do with a skin? I'm new the the entire API for GBPVR and some examples would greatly speed up any changes. Thanks.

There is the cousin plugin for the UK.

Don't know anything about coding plugins though, so I can't tell you if it would help you out or not.
