I actually just saw the b stock this morning... I wish they had the Fusion on there... Big Grin a VFD would be pretty sweet!

Hi Gang, I guess this is sort of a highjack but it sort of fits the BYO theme...I just came up with another question. What do you do for audio? Do you use 5.1 off the PVR or just stereo or ??? This may be a dumb question but I am used to a MVP interface with no real options. I would love to eliminate my current surround box/DVD player with one unit (the PVR) but I guess I would still have to get an amp or something. Just looking for your thoughts.

I use the regular pc out and use a converter to go stereo into TV, I don't have surround, only stereo. Sad

I'd probably use the coaxial or the optical. (Can't remember if it has either of them at the moment?)

I personally just use a 1/8" mini to RCA converter to the TV. My roommate on the other hand goes optical out to a receiver and that in turn goes to all the speakers. both my MBs have the option for SPDIF out so that is what I'd use. I could be cheap though and just use a bunch of speakers with the 1/8" plugs since both MBs have the ability to do 6.1 or 7.1 sound internally (thus no receiver)

Hey, if you order the B list case let me know how it turns out. I might look into getting one of those as well. Saves around $30 (after shipping) on the cost of my specsheet that I have put together.

I've had my K8NGM2-FID for around a year now. I use the co-axial output (had to make the cable myself, as i got an earlier edition which didn't come with it in the box). It goes straight into my amp, so i only have the one input for it. I don't even use the remote for it now, i just switch it on with my big toe! The MCE remote i have can be programmed to control the amp's volume.

I run AC3Filter which passes all DTS/DD through to the amp and up-converts everything else to DD.

Hope that answers some questions.

As an aside, i like posts like these that give good hardware reviews in context with GBPVR... I'm making a mental note, next time i build a system, to comment in the forums how the setup went and post a few pictures, if only to highlight some headaches that need to be overcome, and what advabntages i gained.

Thanks Rowle1jt
