They may be kinda expensive, but they are some of the best looking and functioning remotes out there (WAF++)

I use an Ione Scorpio P20 RF wireless keyboard/joystick that works great with my HTPC. With fresh batteries I can sit across the room some 15' away and never miss a key.

It is not perfect. The build quality is a little on the flimsy side, and I wish they would have put the "mouse keys" within same-hand access as the joystick. But it was cheap (< US$50 at newegg.com) and perfect as a hyper-remote control.

Unfortunately newegg.com no longer list this keyboard/joystick.

If I were buying another, I would probably get something like this expensive Adesso keyboard/touchpad thing:

Can't help with UK vendors, sorry. I think Amazon.uk stocked the Ione in the past.

um... dunno, I just looked on amazon.co.uk for the cheapest harmony they had:o

after some quick searches the reviews look good, and it used to cost like $250:eek: so that is a good deal

ok so since I am looking to buy one, here are the major differences, button layout and color screen... that appears to be it.
they all appear to be equally configurable, just some have more buttons in better places, all seems to be a matter of prefence

You can get a fully featured Harmony remote for less than $60US if you shop around. All of the Harmony remotes provide full levels of activity based USB programming. It's really a matter of number of devices needing control, the looks, feel, your needs and price.

Here's a link to a good look at the many models available. Remote Central is a good source of remote info that'll make your head explode.

So you were looking at the 880 huh? Cool And you thought it was a bit pricey? That remote is/was about the top of the line. Big Grin

Hehe, yeah i know. Keyboard came this morning and must say it's excellent!!!! Haven't tested range yet, pc is still in the setup phase with everything close by so i don't have to walk across the room all the time to change something! First impression tho is that this keyboad rocks, would definatly recommend it to anyone!

I suggest buying a gyration mouse and keyboard. IT ROCKS MY WORLD! It's cheap and effective. I don't need to buy a remote cause the wireless keyboard does it all (and it's small)

I have the IONE also.
When the batteries start going it gets a little flakey.
I havn't used it lately because I keep an old laptop by my recliner so I can surf the net when the wife is watching one of her shows.

I just use that to VPN to GBPVR PC when I need too.
