Contrads -OZ- Glad to hear it working on you system. Now why is my system so different. Again I have MCE and XP on duel boot. When I boot to MCE the card works fine in MCE however when I boot to XP and run GBPVR I have the problems as previously stated. ITs really annoying .

i wonder if MCE can do something with the cable coming in (like read slightly off from the expected channel). It'd be interesting to know if it works on a different tuner card.

Well the card was designed to work with MCE. So when you install it under MCE you get the additional extensions or software that allow you to adjust several settings. By the way I did have this card installed under SageTV and it worked fine as well. Right now the problems I am having are only with GBPVR. However since you and Fatawan have both been able to use the direct.ini file modification with out problems, I would have to say that somehing is happening on my system that's causing these problems. I have tried everything conceiveable including chaning the cable connection without success. So as of now I am just plain stuck.

any idea where those settings get changed (ini's etc) cuz if we could figure that out we could all manipulate the settings.

No, I never looked into it. Never had this problem before. However I will try and see the differences if any between the MCE install and XP install. I am sure you got the same notice that I did when installing the software, the part about no MCE detected do you still want to continue to install software.

Also the one thing I have not tired is to install GBPVR on the MCE partition. Perhaps I will try that a see if it that works.

Something came to mind that I need to have verified. When I set up the capture source in config, recording source, I set both board numbers as "capture Device 1". The reason I did this is when I first set the second tuner to cpature devce 2 it gave me a error message saying that the device drivers were not installed for this device. So should both tuners be asigned to cature device 1? Thanks

In the case of the Nvidia DualTV card, yes they should both be set to device #1.

Well I installed GBPVR on the MCE boot partition and it works fine with this card. So this points to the driver having a problem when installed on XP boot partition. I have no idea what that might be. I will do another uninstall and re-install of the driver and see if anything changes.

when i installed the drivers it failed if i tried to do the internet update at the same time.

My idea to find the settings is to do the following:
Go into MCE, go to setting, and change the quality to home theater (which is the ISF certified one or whatever that acronym is). Then alt-tab out and go to windows explorer and browse directories (or run a search) to find files modified in the last 5 min, then check those ini's or other config type files and read the settings. Then transfer that data over to XP. If you could help with that that would be incredible.
