Hey sub and HtV - I found the problem!!!
I remembered that I had problems in starting WinTV to initially set the channels. I googled the error message and found instructions in a forum to terminate all processes starting with "eh" in the task manager. That did the job for WinTV and must have been the moment, when LiveTV worked as well. So i killed these processes again and LiveTV and Recordings are working again!!!!

The processes must be part XP MCE, I guess. I would like to find a way to entirely get rid of them instead of terminating them manually after every reboot.

The process names are:
ehmsas.exe
ehRecvr.exe
ehShed.exe
ehtray.exe

all to be found in C:\WINDOWS\ehome

Anybody with experiance in MCE? How can I configure the system not to start these processes?

Thanks again for all the support.

Well thaks, that is exactly what I just found out myself. So MCE does not really go with other programs, using the PVR350...

Well thanks again, problem solved and another amazed user exploring all the new and nice improvments of the new version of GBPVR vs. my old 0.90.10...

By the way, as XRecord seems not to work (at least not for me) with the new version of GBPVR - is there another way of "archiving" recordings (move them to the Videolibrary) and also something to reproduce the features of MyVideos (download picture and movie-information from IMDB and such)?
