Lol... So there probably is nothing wrong with the transcoding speed of ffmpeg, I just don't use it Rolleyes

Is there anything I can do about this? Or is it something that has to come in a new release op GBPVR?

Thanks for the feedback so far...

I'd have to do a few changes to have avs files play file ffmpeg.

Steven, I'm copying this message into the ZProcess sub-forum where I can discuss some of your great suggestions...

Although I have built MEncoder support into ZProcess, I only use it for Trans2MVP. All other transcoding, I use FFMpeg.

Anyway here's a commandline I would use for Mencoder and PAL...

Code:
"C:\Program Files\mplayer\mencoder.exe" -oac lavc -ovc lavc -of mpeg -mpegopts format=dvd:tsaf -vf lavcdeint,scale=720:576 -srate 48000 -af lavcresample=48000,volume=0.0 -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg2video:vrc_buf_size=1835:vrc_maxrate=6000:vbitrate=6000:keyint=6:acodec=mp2:abitrate=224:aspect=4/3  -ofps 25 -o {Output File} {Input File}

I've made a change that should do it in the next release.

I have to admit, after playing with MEncoder for a bit, that faster is not necessarily better... I did get MEncoder to work well with ZProcess, but some videos just won't transcode very well with MEncoder, when they work perfectly fine with FFmpeg...

So I add a toggle in the Custom tasks, and now when a video transcodes funny with MEncoder, I just change it to FFmpeg, all from the couch...

I will be very interested to see how AVSs work out...

Sub, is there any chance you can send me a "pre-release" of the fix you made for the .avs file playing with ffmpeg? (is it in the executable? or in a config file?) I know I am impatient, but then I can start testing arround with it Big Grin
