Sub: The TS recording was made after tuning to the frequency in dvbstreamexplorer and getting a lock on the signal!
Shaky:
Look at config.exe.log:
To reproduce the error:
(1) cold start PC, start GBPVR config, select the DVB EPG capture source, then hit update EPG button.
Then save the log -> Error, no EPG update.
(2) start GBPVR config, select the DVB EPG capture source, then choose map channels to EPG, go to the preview/tuning list, select a channel from the first transponder/mux in the channel list, wait for preview picture to appear, then hit update EPG button.
Then save the log -> Update works, no error.
You can play this for each capture source...
In my case (1), only the first transponder (=mux) in each capture source is scanned. Then I get the error in the log and no EPG update. My gut feeling is that the EPG update starts to early, before the frequency is even locked. E.g. when I use live TV, I get about 5-20 seconds of "No signal" before the channel is on.
Hypothesis: It takes the diseqc switch a few milliseconds to switch, however, the first GBPVR tuning request will have passed by then. It appears that the tuner is not even properly initialized. If the EPG update starts right after that first tuning, GBPVR will try to update the EPG from any empty source. Thus, tuning manually first initializes the TV tuner and then updating works.
Is there any way to set a latency between tuning request and start of EPG update?
XMLTV EPG works like a charm, BTW. However, it is not available for all channels I use....
