Quote:BTW, I was browsing my log files and found that the RecordingService.exe-2.log file shows that the recording service was cutting one of my shows off early becauase the tuner was in use. Is this because the PreferAlternatingCaptureSources was set to false?
Yeah, it was related to that.

Quote:There are a number of messages from 8:58 PM until 9:00 PM indicating that the system was looking for another capture source. I'm kinda confused why it didn't find one though. Can anyone answer that?
Ignore that for now, its a bug in the current release.

I'm having a problem when recording 2 consecutive shows, it will cut off the first show to start recording the second show 1 minute early. Will setting the "try to honour padding" setting to false correct this? I have only one tuner.
Thanks

If you have only one tuner, nothing much is going help your, unless you manage to synchronise your PC to the broadcasting schedule. ie, with one tuner, the padding on both recordings is ignored for back to back recordings - instead it will stop at the specifed show end time. If the show was supposed to end at 8pm according to the EPG data, then that is the time the recording will stop.
