Follow-up:
I found out that hibernation works ok when I set the inactive-time in powersettings to 1 minute. When set higher, no go. Well that's at least something.
To be continued.Wink

Ever since I upgraded to 0.99.12 my system no longer hibernates automatically. I lowered it to 3 min for testing and it still doesn't happen. Stopped the recording service from the gbpvr menu and 3 minutes later bingo. Nothing new appears in the recording service logs during those minutes. It does appear to be jumping around near the top when I sort by cpu in the task manager. It's less than 1% cpu since it's displaying zero, but its using more cpu than the task manager and my winvnc server most of the time (I'm doing this test through VNC). Restarted the recording service, hibernation problem is back.

I always do the tests on the server direct, because my ultravnc can consume quite a bit of cpu. Depends on wether I use the video-hook driver or not. Did you try with 1 minute setting? I know it's useless but it might help the investigation. I've been looking for thirdparty "hibernaters" but nothing wil do what I want.

Ok I tried at 1 minute it works. At two minutes it doesn't work. Three and above I had tried before and they don't work. I wonder if there is something the recording service does just less than once a minute. Sub, is there a way to enable super verbose logging in the recording service?

It pretty much does log everything that happens.

You might want to try disabling things to see if helps. ie, web admin, conversion processing etc.

I've got this self same problem. 1 minute is OK, anything longer isn't. Stopping the recording sevice puts it all right. New to 99.12. I put it to hibernate manually, it wakes to record then stays awake for ever.

I tried disabling the "Enabled GBPVR web server" and it didn't help. In the processing tab everything was already at "No Conversion" or "None". Can anything else be disabled?

Nonthing enabled as far as I can see. 4 capture sources and DVD is all I'm using at present.
