Yes I believe they can if you are using the srt viewer. There was a post about this a while back.

This was sub's reply to that question whether they can be toggled.
sub Wrote:No, when you're using this embedded CC info plus the intervideo/vmr functionality. Yes, when you're using this mpg2srt method with the built in SRT viewer. Another reply about toggling subtitles. sub Wrote:You can press Ctrl-Y to disable subtitles.

OK, I updated my drivers and something really weird happened. I now get CC IFFFFF I watch my shows on a computer. BUT.... IF I watch them on TV using my MVP I don't get any CC (I can watch Live TV on my TV through my cable box and I get Cc fine so I know the TV is set right. Any one have a suggestion on this I would greatly appreciate it. I really appreciate all the help in helping with this problem.
CC is not supported for the MVP. SRT is, but like I said before, it will be horrible for roll-up.

I just noticed Merrypig's post at the Snapstream forum -
http://forums.snapstream.com/vb/showpost...tcount=103 "The latest hauppauge drivers (non beta) include captioning for 150's , 500 and 250's. I just used them for my pvr500 card and the captioning was enabled even without the registry tricks. just needed the trycc=1 setting." edit April 21, 2007: The trycc=1 setting is for Snapstream. In GBPVR we would use Enable SRT viewer under Misc in config.exe

dvasco Wrote:I just noticed Merrypig's post at the Snapstream forum - I posted this elsewhere, but I think we could probably write a post processor for the srt files that would make the rollup problem more tolerable. If the new drivers work on my win2k box, I'll work on the program.
