PVRX2 Themes skin

May be my noobness, but when using the standard DVD plugin the screen is very dark. Kind of like watching through a tinted window. I looked through the xml files that seemed to be connected to it, but w/ my limited knowledge, I got nowhere.

The VA update is a "hybrid" plugins that uses old skins and not the new skin2/PVRX2 skins, but I can post old /skin/PVRX2 files if there are requests for it.
What legacy plugin skins shall the /skin contain?

Hmmm, there is no skin file used for the DVD screen, so the problem probably have something to do with DVD codecs ?
I recommend PowerDVD 7.3 codec, thats the best codec I ever have seen. Almost no "tearing" in VMR9 custom.

Well, the DVD plugin works with the ol' blue skin so I'm not sure it's a codec thing, but in the interest of getting it working, I'll give that a try. Thanks.

The codec change didn't fix it. Interestingly, though, I found out that if I bring up the OSD while a DVD is playing, the screen brightens up...to normal. This one's got me, but I can deal with something as simple as bringing up the OSD in exchange for a pretty interface.

What directory do you unzip to to make this work with V1.08?

Unzip into the skin2 folder.

I changed the name to Basic Skin2 and added support for more plugins.
This wil be the tread for news in the future.
