Removing these tags and everything between it you mean?

Yes, I changed to that as soon as you introduced it.

A rename works as well as a remove (then you can re-apply most of them at a later date).

This helped, but now I get the 'no reference to an object' kind of error. I reverted to 5.4 and will experiment a bit more over the weekend.
Thanks, Pieter

I did not find anything specific in the logs, so I purged them. I call it the day now. more later....

psycik Wrote:How did the install go for you guys?? I was a bit unsure on that. Even more unsure on going forward. I don't want you guys to have to stop the service every time as install comes out.....or have to remove the program to install the new one (which is what happens now).

Was my first attempt at an installer.

I just installed it, didn't stop anything, afaict the old settings were nicely preserved.Smile

Do you have two services? After some of the versions I sent you I think I changed the name of the service to MLUpdater (from ML2Udater).

And I moved the service to the plugins directory from the gbpvr directory (since I know that's what sub wants to do later on.

I also may rename all of the ML2 settings in the config.xml file from MusicLibrary2 to MusicLibrary (so both versions can use it).

Yes I have both services, in the gbpvr-dir: ml2updater and in the plugins dir\musiclibrary2 dir: mlupdater
I guess I have to update my updateepg.bat because that's what I use to have the musi-dir scanned. however I saw just now that they are quite different in size, do they work the same?

Another few things I noticed:
- The blue button doesn't work in the search screen, only esc brings you back to the library.
- In an earlier post I said that the search-screen went empty when playing a song, this does not happen on the mvp.
- When I play a song from the search screen, I have to stop the song currently playing, then it will play. But it does not show up in the playlist window.
- I still am a little confused on when to use the play-button and when the enter button. A playlist will only play with the enter button:confused: .
- When I stop the playing, then start the "last played" playlist again, it starts with the last played song not with the first on the list (not necessarily bad). It also made the mvp reconnect a few times when I did this.
- The skip-button won't work in the playlist.

I think this is enough for nowWink

Pretty similar from what you would notice, but from my point of view the MLUpdater should be a bit more independant from GBPVR and my music library2 code.

Ok, a few little tweaks needed :o I think because I gave the playlist stuff a fairly large re-write I didn't get a chance to sort out the "little" stuff like that. Large playlists now load as a background thread rather than foreground (i.e. making you wait for it to load).

Sorry, couldn't get the MLupdater.exe to work. Does it use the same "MLupdater -update" commandline?
