Because we often need to mix the user interface and video together, for example displaying OSD graphics, also displaying video in a panel.

I definitely dont get anything like that. My picture is good, with no sign of these jaggies you're getting. I manage to catch an ad with a white background, so you'd be able to easily compare with the jaggies you get on your white background. Its not a great screenshot, but was similar conditions to source image you posted.

What video decoder are you using? The only time I've seen an effect similar to this was when I was using an elecard video decoder that was outputting a quarter resolution picture.

Are you sure you dont have any post processing things like ffdshow installed? Post the filter list from your PVRX2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Here is another picture that shows high contrast between his arms and backgrounds, with no sign of any jaggies.

A still show never looks as good as when you're watching real playing video, but I get a smooth picture with good colour (though if you look carefully there is some MPEG2 compression artifacts).

Why is it that using VMR9 custom under the old 1.08 interface, I do not get an OSD (when moving mouse etc) but when I use the X2 interface, I am able to see the OSD?

Thanks

I dont really know. There hasnt really been any changes in the old executable. Do you remember if you had the OSD with VMR9 Custom under v0.99.12?

That said, as long as its working under PVRX2.exe, then I'm happy.

No, I don't think I've ever been able to get the OSD displaying under any version in VMR9C, but whatever it works now (I tried multiple decoders etc) As it never worked, I just stuck with VMR9.

Thanks
