will this work on any other lcd's?
any chance i might have a peek at the source, i still can't figure out the events part, so i can build one for other lcds..
i can get everything but the currently playing video/music,etc...
i also use smartie and it works fine on my homemade parallel lcd..[4.95$ ]

i turned an old sony vcr into my pvr, and this lcd replaces exactly the built-in lcd so gives a 'stock' look with geek-tech under the hood...this piece is the final step to my mod..just finished getting the slim dvd burner to pop out the vcr tape door.:p
the old plugin used to work great, but needed buggy 'my videos' which hosed the whole thing..
or if your plugin could just pass the info out to the registry for retrieval or a text file, [tho file might frag drives] smartie can take it from there..[it can read registry with plugin]
and in turn, enable all sorts of displays for your plugin without much hassle..

A while ago i made a iMon plugin myself. It didn't finish it completely, but it has some features you might want to copy. Feel free to do so.
- it determines the next recording and shows it on the display
- it detects shutting down / going into standby and shows the next recording on the display (in my casing (Silverstone LC11m), the display is still lit when the machine is in standby) so you can always see the next recording
- when the machine is recording, it shows what it is recording
- when playing a recording, it removes the datetime and suffix from the filename

Haven't seen anyone else with this problem ,so here goes. Installation of the iMon plug-in makes my Hauppage remote control produce very strange behaviour. Basically it stops it accessing the playing video (in this case a DVD) and it keeps controlling the underlying PVRX2 menus instead, rather than the DVD menus. Like it has continuous focus for PVRX2 menu only.

I don't use the iMon remote, and was only expecting this plugin to do the VFD display, and have nothing to do with the IR remote part at all.

Fortunately deleting the plugin completely and restarting PVRX2 gets me back to an operational remote.

looks like it has the event stuff i wanted, tho no db lookup..[but i can do that externally] i mean i can mod some things if the project's almost there but if i have to rewrite too much it'll take forever, i'm way too slow cuz still learning..
so any help would be greatly appreciated..
i'll see if i can't inject a write to the registry, but getting rid of all the imon stuff might give me problems...

hmmm,anything special about your irremote.ini? or just the stock one that comes with it?
maybe the video playback window is separate because of the d3d video?
have you tried -fse?

Nothing special about the irremote.ini. Its just the one that you get once you use the hauppage fix. The thing that might be different is that I use the sub patch to PVRX2 to run the program hardware accelerated on the secondary monitor (my plasma). FSE doesn't seem to work in this mode.
