Is it a regular stutter, or just periodically? or does it look like the frames are being displayed out of order (quartz.dll problem)?

I have installed the 9.0b quartz.dll.

Occasionally when Live TV first displays with OSD, video seems to be perfectly smooth for just a few seconds. Then the stutter sets in and is constant -- with some decoders it seems like just a low frame rate (maybe 5-10 fps), other decoders seem to pause for a second, then accelerate to catch up, pause again, etc. CPU only varies a little by decoder - stays consistently around 10-30%

Hope that helps, sorry I can't remember more details at the moment - I'm losing track of all the configs I've tried so far! Smile Thanks again for the assistance.

Given you're in the US, I'm assuming you have proper listings for these channels? The reason I mention this is there is a known problem in 1.0.8 when no listings available, that can cause problems in live tv.

Anyway, reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

try the dscaler codec..it is excellent on overlay..and free Smile
sounds like a directx thing to me also..make sure you have at least ver 9.x as win2k came with a really old one..[like 8.x]

also make sure you have the latest video drivers, for that card they aren't the latest Catalyst drivers cuz they no longer support this card in newest releases..
but get the latest one for your card specifically..
oh and make sure deinterlacing is set to pass-thru on last tab..
[and also make sure video color depth is 32bit,tho 16 may speed things up for you..slight quality loss but not much..]
Hardware: HDHR Prime, HDPVR 1212, Raspberry pi2, VFD display w/LCDSmartie
