fresh reinstall of vista x64 (with C++ x64) and installed the media package because its a N version (business)

2x pvr 150's

everything is the same as previous, however, i switched to 64 bit. i installed the FFDSHOW 32 bit filters and this is all.

any driver updates i have installed were through windows updates. i did notice there were pvr updates that were installed, i do not have any of the winTV software installed except for the remote software, could this be where i went wrong?

i'm having unplayable results, everything else seems to work fine, i have not tried to record at all. i don't know if driver updates will help or not? at any rate, i'm attaching my logs

The ffdshow is failing to hook up, so it ends up using the Sonic decoder, which may be the source of the problem. Maybe make sure the MPEG2 codec is enabled in the ffdshow settings. Also try other audio decoders, since the 'MPEG Audio Decoder' has been problematic for many users.

I do have vista running with 4gigs of ram, although it is a 32 bit system.
No problems here.
Maybe posting the logs after you've uninstalled sonic cinemaster. Maybe it's still using some odd filters?

new logs attached:

also, when i get home for giggles, i'm going to try to take out a stick and see what happens.

edit: carlito, i also had 4 gigs on the same 32 bit version before i reinstalled x64 to use the rest of my ram with the pvr150 and had no issues Smile

on some places doing googleing lead me to the pvr 150 / 300 not being able to use the upper portion of the 4 gigs of ram.

i think i have this fixed -- setting the boot menu down 1mb from 4 gigs fixed my issue so far so good.
