Some progress (or additional data points, at least) - I have several video and audio decoders installed, so tried various combinations of those. I've had both set to "Intervideo NonCSS" for months now, and hadn't made any changes to those after installing 1.08. I changed the video decoder to "ffddshow mpeg4 video decoder" and got video on LiveTV, although the audio was horrible - choppy and out of sync. Tried changing both the video and audio decoders to "MainConcept (Hauppauge) MPEG Video decoder" and the Live TV video and audio both worked OK, but Recordings still failed to display any video!

There are a couple of other combinations - I found whenever I used a different Video and Audio decoder, I could get video on LiveTV but the audio was bad. Recordings would sometimes display video, sometimes not, but the audio was always bad. When using the same decoder for both video and audio, the sound was OK, but video was missing on either Recordings or on both Live TV and recordings.

GBPVR.EXE works fine with any combination of these decoders, on both LiveTV and Recordings.

I have had the same issue with the video when using the new interface. In addition, my remote doesn't work with it either. Everything functions fine with the old interface. One common factor I have with the starter of this thread is I have an nVidia graphics card as well. Mine is a ' nVidia Geforce4 mx440 '.
It's an old card.. but seems to work just fine with the older interface.

*I'll have to see what video codecs I have installed. I think I just have Divx, but not sure.

I'll try to duplicate the results McFly got, and post my experiences.

...to be continued...

Here's a "me too" with a bit of a twist.

My pvr is based on a Shuttle ST62K (Radeon 9100 IGP) with a Hauppauge pvr-350.

I have it cabled to output signal from the Hauppauge to my TV's input #2 (composite). Input #1 on the TV is the VGA output from the PVR box (S-video).

I look at #1 and I see my Windows XP desktop with a GBPVR window. I look at input #2 and I see the full screen GBPVR, and it displays whatever I'm playing (live TV, video files, etc.) with GBPVR.

Under the gbpvr.exe executible, everything works just fine -- I get output on TV input #2 and the Hauppauge remote control works as expected. This was true under ver. 0.9912 as well.

When I fire up pvrx2.exe everything looks okay on Input #1, however, I get nothing but color bars on TV input #2. Also, the remote fails to work in any way.

Am I missing something or is there a bug here?

Is this issue clear?

Thanks.

well the remote probably needs to be told to use pvrx2.exe instead of gbpvr.exe
the pvr 350 output is no longer supported in pvrx2

my advice would be make sure you keep a copy of 99.12 which is basically what you still have installed
so then you can keep using it

You mean I can't use it with GBPVR. Seems a bit inconvenient from where I sit.

I've been thinking of upgrading to a dual tuner card. This looks like an opportunity to either do that or ditch GBPVR. I've got the money for a card and I think I'll try that first.

I have found the Hauppauge pvr350MCE, but that seems to rely on Windows Media Center. I'm not spending money on WMC unless coerced.

Suggestions?
