Thanks Smile I was thinking the 'save theme' feature would make it quicker to bring the list of built in themes up to it's old level as its easier than editing the XML files (which have a slightly changed format btw).

Brilliant idea.

I seem to be getting errors and in checking the SkinPluginHelper.exe.log file There are a lot of failed to copies with this in it:
C:\Program Files (x86)\devnz\gbpvr\
is c:\Program Files (x86) hard-coded in the utility?

Quote:Please note TaskImage copy failures are normal, as most TaskImage sets do not have custom images for all plugins.
These 'errors' are normal. Does it apply the skin changes regardless?

Yes, the skin gets changed and it seems to work well.
I was just wondering if the (x86) part of Program Files was supposed to be there, since I know that's not part of my path.

Extract the zip to your gbpvr folder (note that it will overwrite the current theme). I recommended deleting all current themes as they will be missing the new editable skin items.

Notable features and changes from the previous version include:
  • Fixed a few bugs with FF/RW scrolling.
  • Fixed a bug with task images and old style plug-ins.
  • Back button now returns you to the task list instead of quitting the plug-in.
  • A number of Editable skin items added (this is all now)
    - TV Guide style (5 and 7 channel versions)
    - Main menu style (default and 'Left edge')
    - More items buttons (used to click on to scroll lists in the new UI)
    - Fonts/baseskin (only one baseskin included for now)
  • Updated BlueMC2 theme included which has all the available editable skin items set.

All feedback welcome.

Just to show off, the BlueMCE2 theme included in the zip was created (in about 3mins) by:
1) making a required images list on paper by looking through the resources directory in Windows and referring to the old theme
2) finding the images and styles through the plug-in using FF/RW
3) applying the changes
4) use the save theme option and rename the resulting folder (and as a finishing touch taking a screenshot for the preview image)

I'm rather proud of it Smile

I must be completely dumb or just plain unlucky. I unzipped to my gbpvr folder and all I get showing in config for skins is blue (default). So far, only tried in XP. Will try Vista later.
I do see 'Skin' as a menu choice but get errors when I try it. That's to be expected as I only show the blue skin.
What'd I miss? Go ahead, make me feel more dumb. Big Grin
