Here goes:
* Still think it would be a good idea to save some loading time by excluding entries I know do not exist (or just to rename some with dubious filenames)
Yes, I have considered doing this and will in a future release.
Quote:* Often the "Lookup image" finds nothing, even if I have a jpg in a the working directory. Would be nice to be able to add a image manually.
Next version has additional image capabilities. I'll see about including an 'add manual' function.
Quote:* The "..." button for Work directory do not work. Path has to be entered manually.
Ok, will take a look and fix.
Quote:* Is the lookup sensitive for caps? It does not find some resources even if I know there are info. Umlauts seem to be a soft spot as well: "Surf's up" "4: silver surfer" etc. and of course stuff that can't be used in file names.
Right. It basically takes what ever is in the title string to do a lookup, so it is not so much based on the filename as what is in the title string.
Quote:* If I press lookup details and MovieWiz can't decide which movie too choose, I get a select dialog. That dialog has transparent background. Makes it difficult to read. *edit: This only appears when I access that comp through VNC,
Not sure I can fix this. Not sure why VNC does not paint the screen fully.
Quote:* Would be nice with a popup to point out that movie data haven't been saved if you try to go forward and forgotten that little detail.
I agree, I've also ran into this, I'll see about displaying a message box if there is any 'dirty' data (ie has not been saved.)
Quote:* A way to remove added detail (if wrong movie was found) without removing original data. (combined or replaced by former idea to be able to paste correct link). There is a movie called "Shooter" or rather at least five. I get the wrong info loaded (without popup) and if I delete all info and pres save, the info is back. *edit: Maybe a workable solution is to look for the the title first and the director next, if that is manually added.
Ok, i think what you are asking for is kind of an undo function here. You could do this by just moving forward then back to the movie without saving, but I could also probably provide an undo.

If multiple titles are found, I may be able to provide a popup similar to the other one when it cannot find an exact match.

I'll take a look and see if I can fine-tune this functionality.
Quote:* In the middle of loading some .iso -files I got another unhandled exception (this exception appears when I try to "manage content" for the same file): ...
Hmm.. not sure about this. I don't use .ISO files, but I will try to re-create on my machine. Is there anything specific about these ISO's that fail? Maybe something about their filenames?

If I have time, I will probably be posting a new version of the program this weekend, but it won't have all of the above features. I have them on a list tho and will be addressing in future versions...

Thanks for the great feedback!!

Nothing odd about that .iso The name was "Miami Vice.iso". Other isos with a blank in the name was ok, so I can't tell why this get's spat out. I get a exception when I press 'Lookup details' on Manage content tab as well.
I have gotten a Unhandled exception when searchin .avi as well. But I didn't save that exception text. Do you want it? (Normally when I write bug reports I always add them, but this is pleasure Smile )

Yes I'd like a sort of undo function. Like in the example above, I get the info for the wrong "Shooter" And I can't get the correct info in there, not even if I try to copy paste info from imdb. When I press 'Save' the old info is back.

I have a couple of more ideas for improvements on the UI, but I'll wait a while with them. I'd like to get a little familiar with it first. Looking forward to the next version.

Don't bother with stuff that only appear with VNC, seems overkill. I just put it there as info.

But do not forget the error handling on the middle tab. Maybe make it inaccessible if the db is empty...

Have not been able to re-create this exception. If your MovieInfo.db3 database isn't too big, maybe you could email it to me.

I didn't have time to add the undo function in most current version, but I did fix the ability to make manual changes and save them.

Ok, I'll do that for the next version.

The installation of 1.0.3 delete the old db and replace it with a empty one.
Is it supposed to do that?

If I click in the 'Thumbnail Image' area the whole entry is deleted.

I can't add images in the 1.0.3 either. When I click it I get:

************** Exception Text **************

Nope. Must be a bug in the installer. It should only load the empty one if the original does not exist. I'll check and patch tomorrow morning.

I have filled the db as much as I could.
So now I'm in the UI...

* Using Community skin3: The info-blob below is white. And scrolling do not work. (Blue skin looks good and all works)
* 'OK' one a movie gets Unhandled exception. In Blue skin, a popup shows. Guess the community skin isn't updated with the latest stuff.

* If a title is very long, the line gets wordwrapped. With a scrollbar. If I press the scrollbar (with mouse) I get a Unhandled Exception. If it's possible, supress the wordwrapping...

PS. I added some more content in my former post as well, as I thought it was night in Seattle already... Wink

Once things stablize, I may provide a community skin, but at this point too many things are changing, so I am only going to support a Blue skin.
The exception is probably because the MovieInfoPopup.xml is not been created (or modified) to work with Community.

Ok, i've updated the skin to include wrap="false" for all the DrawText entries in the list.

No, fixed in next version (1.0.4).

I suspect your are trying to create images from an ISO? I am using FFMPEG to generate the images, and it may not be able to handle ISO files. I will disable for now (ISO only), and will attempt to add back later.

Thats correct, this was in iso. Didn't now how it was supposed to work. Big Grin
Disabling it for .iso is a good solution.
