Yup, that's the conclusion I've come to. I've tried three different dongles with the same results. Then I tried removing the Video Archive plugin, and now playing videos works fine. I'm not sure with Video Archive is interfering with playing videos through the Recordings screen, but it apparently is. Thanks for helping me diagnose, Martin!

So, anybody get the Video Archive plugin to work with 1.0.16?
