You have an HVR1300, so was it recorded with the analog side of your device or the digital side?

You should be able to press Alt-Printscrn then paste it into mspaint to get a screenshot.

Try playing the file, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look. Also attach that screenshot.

find attached to shots of the image on screen - had to take from mobile as no printscreen button on the mce keyboard

there are 2 shots - one watching millionaire, which you can see in letterbox mode, then the other is when press record while still watching the tv, it switches view to 4:3 mode.

if play recorded file, this is exactly as it is broadcast in letterbox format

also can't use the replacement drivers for mce remote as it stops keyboard from working, which i need for when needing to do something, this means unable to get hip to work as when following instructions it doesn't bring in a list of all the commands available, so unsure on how to set remote to change aspect ratio

One thing to be aware of... you need to explicitly select your decoders rather than rely on the 'system default' setting, otherwise it cant determine the source aspect ratio when playing back files. I'm sure if you set these decoder it'll magically start working for you.
