EVR was never really intended for use on XP. To be honest, i'm surprised that MS even made it available for XP.

i think they did because they knew it wouldnt work properly
so it would make you think you needed vista my conspiracy theory but now ill get 10 people telling me vista is great

And this on a 16:9 TV. I haven't messed around with custom aspects much since the biggest problems need negative ratios in one way or another and that I have read repeatedly is not possible. And this is XP. It would be fun if there were a fix.

I had the same problem and spent many hours trying to work around it.
I discovered there was a service pack for 3.0 and applied it and the problem went away. I used the Windows Update to download it. I think it can also be found below. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...laylang=en Good Luck.
