Hi JW

I just wanted to say that the command line option now works THANK YOU!

I had an ugly error with the last one, but there is still a bit of a glitch in both the manual exe and the batch (command line) version, in that it throws an error and exits a little ungracefully when a dir is not found. I don't always have network drives available, would it be possible to just throw something into the log, but still process the other dirs?

Also, would it be possible to add SyncArchived as a switch to the Batch Version, so that each time I schedule a run it automatically deletes dead entries e.g. those that were on my GBPVR Recordings drive and are now archived?

Thanks

k.

Try attached version.

- Handle missing directory (batch mode only)
- SyncArchive mode will honor <MarkMissingAsHidden> value in config.xml
- Type -help at command line to get list of all options.

Thanks for trying JW, but it still crashes... the last version did one dir, this one seems to check them first and crashes without processing.

Here's my batch line MovieWizManager.exe -Recordings -SyncArchived -SubDirs -Load:"E:\GBPVR;\\Theslug\disk 1\ArchivedMovies;\\Theslug\disk 2\ArchivedMovies;L:\ArchivedMovies"

[EDIT]batch line SHOULD BE MovieWizManager.exe -Recordings -SyncArchived -SubDirs -Load:"E:\GBPVRVids;\\Theslug\disk 1\ArchivedMovies;\\Theslug\disk 2\ArchivedMovies;L:\ArchivedMovies"

Hi JW,

Thanks again, it's looking much better, I think! Of the paths available

MovieWizManager.exe -Recordings -SyncArchived -SubDirs -Load:"E:\GBPVRVids;\\Theslug\disk 1\ArchivedMovies;\\Theslug\disk 2\ArchivedMovies;L:\ArchivedMovies"

I have all except \\Theslug\disk 2\ArchivedMovies i.e. 3 active paths

The screen dumps seem to recognize this, but there are quite a few "ERROR"s in the logs which seem to indicate network path issues?

At the end, can you also please remove the "Press Enter" prompt so this can be scheduled as an interaction free app?

Cheers

k.

If you could post a few of those ERRORs, I'll see if there is a problem.

Logs posted above, but I think there are three kinds, repeated quite a lot. I was wondering if it had to do with the database holding info from the non-connected drive, but the proggy not finding it. I hope I haven't tried to set you too hard a task here, perhaps my logic is not compatible with the philosophy?

It looks like the program:
  • attempts to locate the movie
  • gets exception, because network drive is unavailable
  • attempts to Sync (above entry) to your archive directories
  • fails because it is already located in the archive location
So, all these errors are explainable and valid.

The location column is a unique index in the table, I didn't want the same physical movie entry in the db twice.

Hmmm... this I don't quite understand as the only drive that is unavailable is disk 2 on the slug, but it seems errors also pop up for the other dirs that are available?

OK, this one I understand, it's not really an error.

Cheers
