Anyone else having trouble with Zap2it?

Problem? - I have no Zap2xml folder in Third Party. I do have a cache folder though in \gbpvr. I suppose this may be it (it contains i.e. 1201917600000.html.gz files), but maybe this is part of the problem. zap2xml.exe & zapimport.exe are in \gbpvr also.

I'll do some searching to see if that cache folder is indeed the Zap2xml cache and if it is I will follow your instructions. The cache thing would certainly explain why I'm seeing the same old stuff in there after all my farting around.

Hmm, I have a xmltv.xml file but no zap2xml.xml file? After manually running updateepg.bat it now has a current time and is a little bigger.

I did empty the cache folder first.

I'll go through the steps for the cap sources in config next.

For the mess it seems like it is, it functions. I'm referring to my stuff being in different directories and such.

I'm now wondering if all this could be due to my addition of ZoneAlarm, but I installed that back on 1/21/08. How could it have worked all that time, 21/22 days? I say this because just now when I manually ran updateepg.bat, ZA popped up asking if zap2xml.exe was OK, I said yes and allow in the future. I know I previously authorized zap2xml.exe and when I look in progam control of ZA I see it in there three times.

I guess I can understand why people hate firewalls, but after dealing with some trojans/viruses I now feel it to be necessary. Oh well, seems like the current fire is out.
