TV Listings and XmlTVExtras

I have signed 3 months with Schedules Direct to try it out. Are there other sources that seem to do better with the data for audio, resolution and premiere in the feed? Or does it depend on each market.

I one is better about providing these tags than others, I'll give them a try.

I think if you try UltraXmltv_enhancer, you will find that Schedules Direct will give you all the information you need.

I do have the icons in my directory below. I copied them from the standard blue skin.

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Community3\TV Listings

Premier is one of the icons, along with 4:3, 16:9, stars...., BUT there is no stero or dolby icon. So a good question just above, is there a standard icon set?

There is no way for GB-PVR to know of a new show, or other data, unless the data is massaged... UltraXMLTV will help

thanks for the icons one more question how can i change the * for new shows to an icon and also i see in my xml the stereo tag and in the guide it says stereo but i dont get the icon to show? and one last question i didnt see hdtv or 16x9 in the xml i use schedules direct do they give this data? or what data and icons can i use with sd.. thanks

These instructions are if you are using UltraXMLTV to enhance your listings.

In reality the extraxmltv does not require enhancement. It uses fields in original form in your xmltv.xml file. That means that if you enhance your listings you may be causing extraxmltv and TVListings to miss some things....

Anyway, with UltraXMLTV Enhancer, select 'Create if New' for the Premiere filed, an 'Do Nothing' for Video and Audio.

That will leave the original data alone and when xmltvextras scans the file it will fill in its own database...

You will need 'premiere.gif', and all associated icons stored in the 'C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin2\blue\TV Listings' folder

I'll not again, that if you have a audio filed saying 'stereo' then you need an icon that says 'stereo.gif' or 'stereo.jpg'

I included all the files I created. I don't have all those types of audio or video either. Just remember to have an icon for each type you find: stereo, dolby, 5.1 Surround, HD, HDTV, HD Simulcast, etc...

i now have the tag <premiere>New</premiere> for new and i also see * for new shows in tv listings but i dont see the icon, premiere.gif is in tv listings folder i also have stereo tags but the icon for this doesnt show up in tv listings either what else could i be missing
