If you don't mind the standard ATX size or need 3 PCI slots, this board seems like a great option:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6813135075

Inexpensive ($60 bucks after $10 rebate), eSata ports and gigabit ethernet too. No DVI output Sad but HDMI and VGA output

I like that this has 2 pci-e x1 slots too, instead of just 1 like most boards.

I saw this one, but it wasn't uATX so I had to go up to the next expensive one which was the Asus one at $90.

I'm gonna try to get the Ahanix MCE303 case off of ebay and use that.

I'm probably biting off more than I can chew because I have 2 or more big challenges to overcome:

1) Getting the iMon display AND remote to work with pvrx2
2) Using a compact flash as an IDE drive
3) I never put together a uATX system before

Talk about fun projects!

I ordered the myself the GigaByte GA-MA78GM-S2H and an BE-2350 low power processor delivery of the board will however take 15 days .

I will set it up with a compact flash hard drive so will have to reduce writing to the drive as much as possible.

You know what, no worries. I'll get the asus, it's $10 cheaper. Asus is an old standby. I'd better do it tonight thought before it also disappears.

Maybe/maybe not, but I will be streaming everything off of the pvrx2 server and my network NAS. Big Grin

The CF will just be a means of getting an OS in there and the pvrx2 executables.

No the CF will only hold the OS, everything else including GBPVR itself will come over the network. The machine will be used as a client so all it has is a power supply, motherboard, processor + cooler and the CF card. The whole thing will be built-in to my living room TV cabinet. I will then use an old Atlon XP machine with a mobile processor as a low power server and the current core 2 will become my sons gaming machine

LOL you just beat me by a second with the exact same answer!!!!!

Lets share how to minimise writing to the CF card in order to extend their lifetime.
