I've had one look through the logs, but the cause didnt stand out to me. I had intended to take another look though the logs before replying. (running a bit short of time at the moment)

I think the cause of this problem is because GBPVR only pauses for the duration of the programme that's being paused up until it ends according to the EPG, so if it ends late you loose the last few minutes when it leaves pause and if you want to watch the programme that is on next forget it, it won't even be buffered.

No, its supposed to be able to paused for as long as you long as you want, even across multiple shows. The app records each of the shows as separate files, but they should all be queued up for playback while you're paused., and should automatically play in sequence when playback is resumed.

Hi,

For me it's not a problem of EPG. I think when the first hour play end, GBPVR rotate file and at this moment there is a problem.
Sub can you confirm that the soft change of file after the first hour or explain what is append after the first hour of play.

Thank you.

It's done it again. First programme ended, second program froze on the first frame. All frames are recorded but GB-PVR will not play back the file which is still on the HHD even after exiting the program. Windows Media Player won't play the file back either. It just remains stuck on every frame you move the slider to. I converted the dvr-ms file to MPEG-2 with DVRMSToolBoxGUI and that will play back properly so I think GB-PVR is not formatting the follow-on dvr-ms file properly or providing a proper header.

Hi Sub,

What is your hypothese : switch of files, format of file ?
The second part file (after the first hour) is present and I can open it only with VLC player.

Why do you not change 1 hour to 3 hours to change file ?

Thank you.

I'm guessing its something going wrong with switching files in your setup. I havent managed to find time to work out what exactly though.

Its based on the EPG. It switches files at the end of the current show. Its not based on time (unless you dont have an EPG). If you dont have an EPG, that maybe something to do with why its failing.

Thank you Sub for your lights !

It seems effectively for me that problem occurs on channels which have not EPG.
I use xmltv to get EPG and the file works for some channels and not for others.

I'll try to made test of timeshift on a channel which have EPG and give results.

Thank you again Sub and Agamemnon.
