Should I post the photoshop files for these themes, that way anyone could pick their own "purple"?

I wouldn't know much on what to do with them (besides picking a different color), but I bet others would like to have a crack at them.

I really like the Red and the Black Dark Cast ones but I don't really care for the use of yellow in them, the yellow does look good with the blue and especially the green.
Maybe a dark gray with the red and a dark red with the black, just ideas don't mean to tell you how to do your thing Smile

I really like the dark themes also higher rez graphics are also very important since I use a HDTV for my dvr. Another possibility would be to have horizontal scrolling as an option.

Hope this feedback helps you create more awesome themes, My fiance and I really enjoy the reflect black theme.

Thanks for all your hard work

various ramblings...

Honestly Hairy, I would happily live with any of the cast / reflect themes. My current fave atm is reflect dark as think that the edge glow and blue highlight is more stylish that the yellow highlighted box, where my views mirror those of psycik's.

Perhaps the square boxes from cast with the blue highlight?

Don't worry about being too prolific, it's really nice having lots of different themes to play with when I get bored and yours skins are all of a consistantly high quailty AND they all work! (thanks fatman)

I did like Mixman's suggestion of a matrix 3x3 (or whatever) menu rather than the scroll menu. humm, I should have replied to his thread really..

I think psycik was right (again!) when he said that skinning can be a thankless task at times. you might write one skin that no one uses at all and others that loads of people use. Perhaps launch a poll to see which of your themes people use most might give you some insight?

My only skin problem atm is that the programme details font is a tad too small in tvlistings.

Your skins have given gbpvr a big boost in the eye candy dept. so thanks again and "keep em cummin"

Cheers folks

I genuinely appreciate any and all feedback, it's extremely useful.

As always there's a strong chance that I'm over thinking this Smile, but basically the present head scratcher is: how do I design the themes so that their graphical elements can be used (ie look good) independently of the theme, without sacrificing the cohesiveness of the theme for the versatility of the graphical elements.

The feedback here has kind of confirmed that it's about choice, it's about providing alternative options for CS users to decide.

Thanks again

From my limited tinkering, horizontal scrolling isn't quite ready for the prime time in PVRx2. But when it is, I think it will add significantly to the mainmenu GUI.
