Ok, does not seem to be a problem with any of the Wiz DLLs. There is another thread on this issue, here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...itializing

So far, no resolution, you may want to add your issue to that thread.

Maybe you aren't installing plugins in Vista properly? You likely have to get the command prompt by running as administrator if the program doesn't provide you with with an install program. To see, check for any files especially DLLs and INI files in

"\Users\username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\devnz\GBPVR"

Martin,

Does this also apply to the MVPTrayIcon Plugin which is just a dll (no install)?

I have the DLL in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Plugins\MVPTrayIcon\ as per http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/MVPTrayIcon

So just to confirm, in VISTA, I should put that dll (plugin) so I see this:

\Users\MYusername\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\devnz\GBPVR\Plugins\MVPTrayIcon\MVPTrayIcon.dll

RATHER than this?

C:\Program Files\devnz\GBPVR\Plugins\MVPTrayIcon\MVPTrayIcon.dll

No there should be nothing in the VirtualStore, the problem is that they can appear to be in C:\Program Files

No, thats not what martin is saying.

He is saying that on Vista you could think you've put the file in C:\Program Files\devnz\GBPVR\Plugins\MVPTrayIcon\MVPTrayIcon.dll, but behind the scenes Vista's file protection could have put it in "c:\Users\<user account>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\devnz\GBPVR\Plugins\MVPTrayIcon\MVPTrayIcon.dll", causing the MVP server to not see the DLL when it starts up (since it runs as a different user account).

I dont think thats the case here though. The logs appear to see the DLL and start loading it, but something goes wrong in its initialisation.

Ah... OK thanks fellers, for the clarification.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for a developer solution :-) - It appears to work (in XP at least) for the PCH-A100 too btw, so it's still useful...

Hi Major H,

Any advances on this one for making it work in Vista?
