F7 key (Aspect Ratio) - PVRX2 - Live TV Does not work

There are a few threads around with settings you can add to the config.xml file to add more options to F7. One common one is someone's "zoom" mode they made, but I tend to use ones from someone else who made multiple zoom modes, 16:9 + 10%, 16:9 + 20%, etc.

Don't know why Media Player can't adjust the sides. Probably just a setting somewhere like the setting for "display aspect ratio" or something like that. I use other players in Windows so can't help with specifics on WMP.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't locate the other examples, but I was able to easily create a new aspect ratio to allow the 4:3 content in a 16:9 broadcast to fill a 4:3 screen. I added the following to my config.xml:

<AspectRatioMode name="Remove 16:9 Pad" ratio="-0.125,0,1.125,1" />
