here's logs for the quickrecord problem...it seems similar..
after a fresh reboot of machine and rec service, seems a little better but still happens...
[usually it happens for me upon second quickrec from tvguide everytime..]

i had to quick record quite a few before it froze this time...

any luck reproducing the problem?
it just seems to clear itself up after a while..[db not busy] but doesn't seem any reason for it to be busy in first place....unless it's just not committing right away..

i really wanted this cuz when i schedule any sports games, they usually end before my padded end time so i have to cancel the rest manually..hence this situation..

let me know if anything else needed..[logs,setups]

Sorry for the delay getting back to you.

I just tried to reproduce this now but it doesnt seem to be doing it here. This didnt really surprise me, otherwise I'd have expected to see more posts about it. I can see its happening in you logs, but there is probably some other less obvious factor we're missing.

i'm going to do a fresh rebuild [new MB,case] and see if it still happens out of the gate...
i haven't seen any oddness in epg data in long time, tho i did have a couple of weather reboots not too long ago.. but it's been happening over several releases/rebuilds....

maybe a MCE thing? [could MCE be peeking at the db?]

i do have ffmpeg snapping a shot after record in postproc, but that's about it..comskip is ending properly from parallelprocessing.bat and post does run, but it does seem to have a longer than expected delay...[just for ffmpeg snap from beginning of show, should be almost instant] will take that out and see if any changes..

i have seen other reports of this but not too many..since around the .99 builds..
maybe just the size of my epg?

Just a wee note that I also had an issue trying o cancel a manual recording which kept on coming back on starting rec service, I had to reinstall with a big delete of dir to get rid of behaviour, but was after a lot of fiddling. Not sure if logs are useful.

stumbled upon a temp fix/.workaround for tvguide quick records, and possibly manuals too..
Big Grin
doing only one quick-record, then back to main menu, then back to guide, i can do as many as i want..[tho a bit inconvenient, not nearly as bad as before]
i have a feeling this will also work in recordings screen for canceling...restart pvrx2 and go straight to delete pending...

i know it works if i stop rec service while i cancel...like rec. service is keeping it busy..
might also be related to epg size..but i haven't had any data errors since i built this machine..

any thoughts/ideas?

may just try rebuilding db and see what happens [while backing up of course]
[start with emptydb and just load recordings and epg]

I'm bit busy the next couple of days, but bump it again after that and I'll try to take another look for you.

seems even regular recordings are doing this also...tried to cancel one last night while recording, and it did same thing..[resisted cancelling]

i did a 'check' of db and it found a few stray pagees, and 'vacuum' cleared those out but still same problem..

For what it is worth, there have been at least two releases of System.Data.SqLite.DLL that fix "Database File is Locked" bugs (see it's release notes for January 11, 2007 and December 04, 2007.)

These errors (may) not be from GBPVR, but, instead, from the ageing SQLite wrapper.

Yeah, you could right. Unfortunately the last time upgraded the version it broken nearly every plugin, so it needs to be done very causiously.

Have you tried updating the wrapper DLL manually? I'd be interested to hear if it still ran. (GB-PVR is compiled with the 'require specific version' attribute unticked for this dll)
