Ah, I'm failrly sure it'll only look for check for alternative file names while checking missing recordings, so <AutoRemoveMissingRecordings> needs to be set to 'true' for this logic to run.

Can I re:Add this as a wishlist item then? as there are certain items i have that are on a network drive that is not always up, so if possible make the extension check a default action or another setting?

Ok, I've removed the need to have <AutoRemoveMissingRecordings> set to true in the next release.

Thanks for that, I hadn't noted the problem until this was mentioned. I'd turned autoremove off as I was having a problem with my recordings drive not spinning up in time to be seen.
And just a quick look shows my recently (externally) transcoded recordings missing from the database.
