I have also had several recordings that have not stopped at set time. I think Sherlock Holmes was the last time that happened.

Post some logs that show it happening, and let me know the time the recording happened so I know where to look in the logs and I'll take a look.

My recording "Sherlock Holmes memoarer" 2008-10-12 23:10-00:20 0n channel TV9. The recording (until I stopped the recording service) lasted 10:04:19. Is that recording not in the logs??!!

The logs you supplied only go back as far as 2008-10-14.

Post a new set of logs next time it happens, along with the details and I'll take a look.

I just finished three simultaneous recordings. The all finished perfectly. I recorded "quick recording" instead of highest for these three. Can that be an issue? I have also prior to these three recordings deselected and deleted Comskip and also re-booted the PC as I suspected this to be a problem.

My system: PVRUSB2, HVR2200, Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 MB, 4GB ram, Radeon HD 3870, 650W Corsair PSU, 500GB Samsung SP HDD

Edit: When this happens again, or not, I will post the outcome. My wife is killing me for the lost recordings! Smile
Edit2: I have reason to believe that you are right. I had exactly the same behaviour in Mediaportal, so it makes sense that the PVRUSB2 or its driver could cause the problem. I just wonder why. I have tried two different drivers for the PVRUSB2(the most recent). I will disconnect the PVRUSB2 if the problem happens again.

i have a problem when watching live-tv then hitting the record button - the recording doesn't end.

i work around this by not using it! recording from the tv guide has not failed me if my fading memory serves me right..

I do think recordings not stopping is related to previously using live tv on that channel, but I think I'll need to see a few more logs to be sure. (the live tv record button is a bit of a tangent though to the rest of the thread, so I'd prefer to stick to normal recording logs for now)

Sub, I never use Live TV so I don't think my problem is related. I think the logs I posted at the beginning of this thread should include an instance of this happening. Recording in question is 'Merlin 6.00 - 6.45pm 4th October'.

Hope this helps.

Thanks - I've got your logs. I cause wasnt clear though. I was hoping to see other examples so I can compare logs to look for a common pattern occurring.
