I just set it to full TS in config and hit record right??? http://www.fuzzweed.net/GBPVR/5USTS276M.ts If I remember from last time the server wasn't too hot with big downloads, so make sure you use something with resume functionality (or I can PM you ftp detials if needs be)

Hi,
I belive I have the same or a similar problem. I can watch live tv but as soon as I try to pause I get this error in the eventlog: " Faulting application GBPVRRecordingService.exe, version 1.0.3228.14980, time stamp 0x00000032, faulting module PsiParser.ax, version 0.1.0.0, time stamp 0x4903890b, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00001aa0, process id 0x%9, application start time 0x%10. " I run on Vista Ultimate 32bit and a pinnacle Dual Tuner 2000 tv card. Another question as I am new to GBPVR. Is it posible to have it temporarily record as soon as I start watching TV. So that I can rewind. Now it seemes (the few times It has worked) that I first have to pause the tv to be able to rewind it later. If I just watch it does not buffer anything. Thanks in advance for any help! /T

If I just watch it does not buffer anything. You can disable live preview mode in the config app to have it always buffering live tv. This does mean slower channel changes though, and more wear and tear on your machine (and disk noise/heat etc).

Do recordings work for you? Can you play them back?
sub Wrote:When I'm back in New Zealand, I'll probably need to get you to supply a 250MB or so "Full TS" recording of one of these frequencies, so that I can try running it up in the debugger.BTW, what makes you suspect the TS stream itself and not some peculiarity or problem in my system? I'm having the same problem in both QAM on cable and in the DVB-S stream. Quote:Past experience...Your "past experience" is right on the money. The psiparser crashes are repeatable and occur on some channels, but not others from the same DVB-S source. I've attached a 250MB full TS sample from a bad channel (taken from 1.2.13). These channels work fine in 1.2.13, they crash in 1.3.7 in config and in pvrx2.exe (live TV enabled). I've identified multiple channels that crash from multiple sats and a few that do not crash. Although not all combos are tested, it seems that when a channel (PID) on a transponder crashes, the others do too. When I tune to the bad channels in config, it crashes with the last line in the config log "Using psi parser." If any logs are needed, let me know. Thanks! EDIT: The upload crashed - I'm sending it to megaupload now and will post a link when it's finished.

dennit Wrote:BTW, what makes you suspect the TS stream itself and not some peculiarity or problem in my system? As mentioned, just past experience. I know that PsiParser.ax does a large amount of work parsing all sorts of information from the stream. This is a complicated task with lots of different rules, and unexpected data from the broadcaster can easily cause problems in there.

Do you mind if I ask what kind of "debugger" you use for the "Full TS" recording? Are you running a software debugger (like softice) on psiparser.ax as the TS video file plays or are you analyzing the Full TS recording in a specialized analyzer for TS files? |
