It crashes on playback of recordings all the time after stb replacement. was perfect before. the stb was replaced because it kept blanking out randomly. it was a pace 501 ~5 years old. the new one is a SA4250
both are HD. the recordings are fine! it crashes on every recordings after 3 to5 minutes and I have to use the mouse to close pvrx2 and then restart it. It was rock solid since the install when it came out. 1.4.7 with hauppauge HDPVR.

Any suggestions?

Does it give you an error message?

It's the windows error box, "PVR2X has encountereda pro blem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." The only thing Ican do is click the close button and restart PVRX2.

Reproduce the problem, and post the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll see if anything stands out.

Unfortunately there isnt anything obvious in those logs, but there is a good chance it relates to the decoders being used.

Ok, but I didn't touch anything except the blaster setup from Pace to SA for changing channels. Weird. I'll try the new NPVR as soon as you release the final build.

Thanks again for your time, it's very much appreciated.

Sorry, I dont really know.

I'd give NPVR a go if you can. A few HDPVR users have said it works better for them than GBPVR in the past.

NPVR works MUCH better with the HDPVR. I'll suggest you might have a problem with your STB not being configured to output a constant resolution, if that option is available. I've had much better success choosing forced 720p output then allowing it to change resolutions with the broadcasts.

OH, now I remember I had the other STB's set at 1080i, this one has not been locked at a high resolution. I'll set it and see if that helps.

Thanks
