There are also some exceptions in that log relating to the CoreAVC decoder. I think these are just happening because it noticed the adplus debugger, but to be sure it might be worth temporarily deregistering "G:\Program Files\CoreAVC Professional Edition\CoreAVCDecoder.ax" to see if it makes any difference.

I just wanted to add a me too to this thread. It was all working perfectly after installing a new graphics card around 6 weeks ago and I thought that I had fixed it for good. Then, last week it just started with the NTDLL.DLL crashes again out of the blue.

Hey hello again Dava - I am experiencing Deja Vu! I pretty sure this is the second instance where we both started to get the live preview crashes again at the same time - which I guess could point to something in the stream changing? I think mine started to error again on 29 or 30 November.

Ok I tried that Sub, but made no difference. You are right about programs not liking debuggers running - Purevideo self-destructed when I ran the Adplus debugger - totally dissapeared! I had reinstall it...

Sub I googled as suggested, and found this long thread on the mediaPortal site: http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/genera...s-xp-6344/
You will see it deals with a specific issue of multiple tuners installed.
The patch registers different versions of three files; mpeg2data.ax, psisdecd.dll & psisrndr.ax.
Interestingly, it implies that there are known issues with the XP SP3 versions of these files - at least with MediaPortal (I always thought the latest versions were the best!).
Anyway, I ran the batch file and it seems to have worked! No crash for ten minutes now...

Mine seemed to happen at about that time too, and it did seem to be after Freesat adding Channel 5 and moving some of the other channels about which bears out your stream theory.

As I have not had any of this nonsense since adding the new Nvidia card, I really thought it had gone for good.

I am having to install WMP11 before I can use the patch but I will try and see how we go. Thanks for the pointer.

15 minutes into a program (unheard of before) and no crash!!!!!!! Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

Thanks Pob, I think that we have been suffering for 6 months on this one!

Now why in the hell did it fix itself when I put in the new VGA card and then re-break a week ago, I didn't change those files. The biggest issue with debugging this was the times at which it manifested itself coinciding with some other change in the system.

Great - sounds like that might have fixed it then. I guess I'm off the hook for causing this one Big Grin

Yep, for the moment....:p

I have left live TV running at home since the patch and all is good in the world.
