I've always given my machines nicknames (sad or what?:o) and there is always an Orac - current incarnation is the laptop I use in the kitchen to control all the machines in the attic...

Just to push the topic a bit further off course: that is a pretty 'kin cool mod...

and to return to topic; an any time, any channel record picked up a whole load of Dwarf a few months back on uk freeview. maybe not as fast as torrent, but a hell of a lot faster than getting the VCR out the loft

Pretty nice, but if I'm being picky, I remember the original Orac being a bit more cubic...

I believe that it was supposed to be a homage, rather than a copy.

I don't think that the original deisgn has aged very well..

looks like they thought water cooling was the way even back then
