There are indeed two audio tracks on the file. In this case it is also garbage in, garbage out and I'd run it through a ts remux too but even with that I still couldn't make a perfectly sync'ed file. If that file was via the Twinhan, I'd investigate options on getting a better file if you must have it play on the MVP

Thanks Martin, I appreciate you looking at it. So if I get the recording better (somehow) is there any solution for selecting the audio track? I can always fall back to ati-mux since it seems to handle it OK, but I have come so close I hate to fall back and loose multi-record. It would be really cool if you could select ts mux for one source and ati-mux for another, but I don't think that will ever happen since this seems to be a unique issue. Do you think the quality issue you see is what is causing live tv to stop when I am on the MVP? (using ztranscode->mvpmc)

If you pass it as-is to mvpmc as a ts you might be able to select audio tracks but English is the first track for me anyway. I've never tried ZProcess but my experience with ffmeg and livetv was not good.

soccerdad Wrote:Wow I must be braindead. I read your last post uploaded the file, wrote my post and then must have closed it without actually posting. Here is a file that plays in Spanish using ztranscode and in English using pvrx2 and on vlc. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=EVBHP6W9 I also noticed that it plays in Spanish when viewing the INPUT as well on ztranscode. I am using mencoder but it also does it on ffmpeg.

Although Martin might have a better idea, I haven't been able to succesfully pass both audio stream into the MPG.

Viewing the input, uses mplayer and it will just use the default audio stream.I'm downloading the file now, and should be able to give you an idea soon...

I've tweaked ZTranscode so that it will remember the audio track you choose, but it will only work if you are using the default ffmpeg.

So copy over the new ZTranscode.exe from the zip

Run ZTranscode, and open your Spanish TS. Double click on the sweet spot

After you TS is loaded, make sure that 4ts ios slected from the drop down on the main screen that is now exposed. In the bottom cluster of controls (quite messy isn't it?) there is AudioLang. Set it to 2... This settings, contrary to other settings is saved immediately. You can press start, and after a bit click View Output and here your English...

I do want to stress to you (and everyone else) that the 4ts profile defaults to using ffmpeg-alt.exe, which will not work with audio channels just yet. So you would need to select ffmpeg.exe as your preferred Transcoder in the 4ts profile... (and remember to save settings)

----

On the BTW, I'm having a lot of fun with .net. And to open up this project in VB6, almost made me think of the stone age...

I am currently working on an updated (actually redesigned) UltraXMLTV Enhancer. It's much faster so far (thanks whurlston)

My goal from now on, is to make sure all my stuff will run regardless of the Recording Service set to 'interact with desktop. I'm sure that this will clear up a lot of details. Also I will be saving my settings to XML files, so that backing up your settings will be much easier...

I guess what I'm saying is, I won't be spending too much time working on new features or persistent bugs that I know I could have licked in VB.net...

Thanks Frank,
It now gives me English but the sound is really bad, kind of robotic. I think I will stop this for now and reevaluate. I think I will just go to pretranscoding for these files. It works great on my QAM stuff but the DVB is really poor. It would be really slick if you could set mux's specific to the capture card or if you could somehow tell it only to transcode files off of certain tuners. I am sure the technology will mature as .ts files become more and more common. I think the MVP has just about hit the end of the road. Do I smell popcorn cooking? Thanks for all your help and have fun with .net. I can't wait to see the good stuff you come up with.Smile
